Value Type

Choose how the visual determines the coordinate at which the threshold line (or start of the threshold area) is placed.

  • Constant: Selecting this setting will reveal Value (or Value From if the selected Threshold Type is Area) where you can enter a numerical value.
  • First: The threshold will be placed at the coordinate of the first data point in the order of appearance in the data table. Note: Affected by the selected sorting option for the visual.
  • Last: The threshold will be placed at the coordinate of the last data point in the order of appearance in the data table. Note: Affected by the selected sorting option for the visual.
  • Minimum: The threshold will be placed at the coordinate of the smallest value on the axis.
  • Maximum: The threshold will be placed at the coordinate of the largest value on the axis.
  • Average: The threshold will be placed at the mean value of all data point coordinates for the axis.
  • Median: The threshold will be placed at the median (middle value) of all data point coordinates for the axis.
  • Percentile: This option will reveal an additional field – Percentile. Enter a percent value and the threshold will be placed at a coordinate which includes x% of all data points on the axis.

For Area Thresholds, the above-described values will be used as the starting point for the area, but the ending point will always be a constant value (Value To).
