An interactive Power BI project management report designed to help PMO leaders monitor portfolio health, analyze budget overruns, and identify project delivery risks. The report analyzes a portfolio of 100 projects and 1,696 monthly performance snapshots, including 55 active projects. Track key performance indicators, including an €86M baseline budget, €98M forecast total cost, 13.8% projected budget overrun, cost performance (CPI) of 0.91, schedule performance (SPI), and portfolio health scores. Explore financial and delivery trends over time to identify underperforming initiatives and opportunities for portfolio improvement.
The three-page Power BI report covers Portfolio Health and Trends, Performance Drivers, and Strategic Decisions. Interactive ZoomCharts Drill Down PRO visuals allow users to analyze cost variance from business units to programmes and individual projects, track CPI and SPI trends, and compare forecast delays across countries. Explore resource capacity gaps, milestone delays, and benefit realization to identify projects that appear healthy but deliver limited business value. Compare performance across strategic themes, delivery models, and priorities to uncover operational bottlenecks and financial inefficiencies.
The strategic decision analysis combines project value scores, delivery health, cost efficiency, risk exposure, and benefit realization to help leadership determine which initiatives to accelerate, recover, pause, or terminate. Project-level recommendations support transparent decision-making, better resource allocation, and stronger project portfolio governance.
Built with Power BI and ZoomCharts Drill Down PRO visuals as part of the FP20 Analytics & ZoomCharts Challenge 41, focused on PMO Project Portfolio Data Analysis and Visualization.
